So yesterday, I went to a chinese buffet style restaurant with my class. The wednesday before our 2 week vacations, we all go out to lunch together. It's not a tradition in France to do this, it's just my class.

It was the week of the Chinese New Year and so we were given free cocktails! ;)
Our beautiful class ;)
Today is Valentines Day! However, today it kinda felt more like just another Thursday. Valentine's Day in France is celebrated only between couples. Otherwise, no one else celebrates it. No "Heartograms" or candy like at Hopkins High. I couldn't not stand doing nothing for Valentine's day so I bought and brought some Carambars candies for my class. Carambars are basically the French equivalent to LaughyTaffys. On the inside of the wrapper there's always a dumb joke and the candy comes in lots of different flavors- including Cola! Crazy, right? Coca-Cola flavored candies are very popular here. At first I wasn't a fan but now I've grown to like the flavor.
Voilà- Carambar candies!
Nothing super amazingly fantastic happened today. I went to handball, but there were only 8 people there so we couldn't really do play a game. The practice ended up being pretty tranquil. Tomorrow is the last day before our two week vacation. Can't wait!
Bisous,
-Becca
