Back to the FUTUR: the adventures of FUTUROSCOPE

I don't even know where to begin...Futuroscope was...interesting. It was the most bizarre amusement park! There were no rollercoasters. Instead, the rides were 4D attractions. (You wear 3D and sit in a seat that moves with the image on the IMAX screen.) It was way cooler than I had expected. I was a little hesitant at first because I thought it was going to be really boring. But I ended up going with some other AFS kids from our region so we all had a great time. It was nice because we got in the park for free and got express tickets so we didn't have to wait in any lines! They also gave us free breakfast when we arrived. All of the food at Futuroscope was really nice and fancy. It was funny how the dining options at an amusement park were so nice. Like for lunch, there weren't hamburgers and french fries. There were options like baguette sandwiches or muscles (the seafood!). Also, there were rope play structures for kids (...and teens) to climb on. The best part of the night was the Spectacle, which was a water show/fireworks/hologram images projected onto the shooting water. I have no idea how they did it! The whole day was awesome! I've added some pictures below:
Even the free breakfast was classy!

This was too good not to take a picture next to...

Pretty self-explanatory

Coolest playground ever!

This donut shaped thing was super cool! The inside ring spun so you could go upside down (like you were rolling in a tire).

One of Futuroscope's IMAX buildings.

It's supposed to be spiderman crawling on the side of the building.

Blueberry and Strawberry Popcorn?!?

Le Petit Prince...the ride.

These bikes were so cool! I couldn't get a picture while I was on the bike because you couldn't bring your camera. We spent half an hour peddling on the water!

The side of a building selling food. ("Miam"="Yum" en français).

This oversized megaphone that you talk into and sit in.

Le Petit Prince!

Magda, Sydney, and Kristine looking pretty stylish at the ride "Arthur 4D"
